Trocaire Wall

This project is an interactive campaigning tool, a visual interface to a serious online message. Users sign a petition asking the Israeli government to fully implement all of the recommendations of the International Court of Justice. It also asks the Irish and UK governments to ensure the implementation of the International Court of Justice's decision on the wall through an inclusive and proactive approach to building peace founded on respect for human rights.

The petition is represented as a visual, scrollable, solid wall. As users sign up, they are given a piece of broken wall, with the idea that between them, they can smash the wall down.

I was commissioned by Kevin Jardine (with whom I have previously worked at Greenpeace) to create a variety of tiles, which could fit together in any number of ways. Kevin then created the code to generate a wall, through which users can scroll, and read comments left by others.
